It's National Bird Day in the U.S. Do you think it's cruel to keep birds in cage where they can't fly freely or flock with others of their kind?

I can't say much to that.  I'm not inclined to keep animals as decoration.  Miranda, Ariel, and Winston interact with me (from a cat/human perspective); I regard them as companions.  I do keep an aquarium, but that is more an exercise in maintaining a well-functioning ecosystem than interior design, even if it is pretty.
